Be The Light is hosting its next anti-human trafficking education event on Saturday, September 10th from 9am to 2pm at the Egret Bay Campus (Creek Kids building, Room A). Join us as the WINGS Ministry conducts an in-depth training class to help you and/or your small group become aware of this very real problem in the greater Houston area and be equipped to serve in various capacities. The WINGS Ministry will share their expertise on the state of human trafficking in our area, as well as practical knowledge for how to make a difference. Coffee/pastries and lunch will be provided, so please register for this class at http://bit.ly/2ahjsqT. For questions, contact Charlene Bohanon at bethelight55@gmail.com  or (828) 216-4443.

Good Neighbors is in need of small groups to serve along side us in the community at Rancho del Rey. Come be the hands and feet of Christ with us. First and third Saturdays from 10:30 to noon, we deliver groceries, clothing, household goods, breakfast, the Gospel and friendship to under resourced families right here in our back yard. We share coffee, juice, pastries, children’s ministry and prayer time with our neighbors who may be struggling outside the margin. For more information, or to sign your group up for a serve day, contact Renee Lafont at   or (281) 549-9584.

Operation School Bell, a program of Assistance League of the Bay Area, provides new school clothes and toiletries for children of families in need of assistance every year. This program covers multiple ISD’s and there are lots of ways you or your group can help!

Most shifts are 3 hours, some 4. There are days we will be moving inventory for which we appreciate volunteers able to lift heavy boxes and totes.

We will be fitting students at three locations this year.
