Anchor Point needs assistance with some minor handyman projects, including re-caulking sinks/toilets and repairing the front door threshold. Contact: Tracy Stanisich, tracy@anchorpoint.us

Galveston County Food Bank has space for small groups to serve on July 30th or August 6th to sort product. If you have a small team, which can include parent/child teams, of 3-5 people they could clean and organize the food pantry on July 16th or July 23rd, between 9am-12pm. (Dry food sort groups may have children in them, age 10 or 11 and up would work best.) Contact: Monica Lambert, monica@galvestoncountyfoodbank.org

Good Neighbors is in need of small groups to serve along side us in the community at Rancho del Rey. Come be the hands and feet of Christ with us. First and third Saturdays from 10:30 to noon, we deliver groceries, clothing, household goods, breakfast, the Gospel and friendship to under resourced families right here in our back yard. We share coffee, juice, pastries, children’s ministry and prayer time with our neighbors who may be struggling outside the margin. Contact: Renee LaFont, reneelafont@gmail.com

Mobile Food Distributions are family friendly service opportunities that take place twice monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Spillway Park in San Leon and the 4th Saturday of the month at KE Little Elementary both begin at 9am and typically last 2 hours. Children and teens under 16 need to be supervised by an adult. Volunteers help with bagging food, passing it out, and helping deliver the food to people’s vehicles.
