ORPHAN CARE SUPPORT
Foster Parent Night Out
When: Saturday, July 21st 2:45-7:00pm
Where: Kiddie Academy West in League City
Join us as we serve the foster families within Clear Creek Community Church. We host foster children (and their siblings) from birth to 12 years old once a month at a local daycare. Finding childcare for foster families can prove to be difficult, so this allows foster parents to have some (much-needed) time to themselves. Kiddie Academy provides staff for each room, but we supply the volunteers! This is a great way for these kids to have another positive influence in their lives. Most days it is hard to tell who is having more fun- the kids or the volunteers! We have kids from ALL campuses attend this event monthly! Great Go-Op for small groups and/or individuals looking to show love to the orphans in our community.
Background check is required by the church. If interested, contact Cari and she will get you signed up.
Not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can do something. Could this be YOUR “something?”

PREGNANCY & PARENTING SUPPORT CENTERS OF GALVESTON COUNTY
The Pregnancy and Parenting Support Centers of Galveston County offer support to moms and their babies until age 3 by providing an “earn as you learn program”. As mothers attend parenting classes as well as Bible studies they earn baby bucks to purchase Items for their babies. Volunteer opportunities range from a one time event such as helping assemble together packets or to assist with their baby bottle change collection to ongoing opportunities such as teaching, leading a Bible study, intake counselor, data entry, or assisting with correspondence to clients such as mailing out birthday cards. The center is in need of volunteers at this and would greatly appreciate any support.
The center also has a secondhand shop called Bargains and Blessings. Donations of gently used items and clothing would be appreciated for children and adults. The center is also in need of diapers size 5 and 6.

THE BIRTHDAY JOY PROGRAM
The Birthday Joy Program (TBJP) is partnering with some of the food banks in the area and have started a new program called The Birthday Fixins where family dealing with trouble times can now pick up a Birthday box along with the food they get from the food bank. Items would include box cake, frosting, cake decorations. This would be a great thing for small groups to collect to serve TBJP.
TBJP is in need of pillows. Each Birthday child at the shelters are given a personalized pillow. When a child is removed from their home they usually only have the clothes on their backs. So they are put in places where a pillow is not even their own. So this is pretty important to the Birthday child to receive and became a staple.
