The Anchor Point Family Network of Services offers families HOPE!   Walking alongside moms, dads & kiddos from hard places and in all phases of life, you or your small group can get plugged-in and help Anchor Point families thrive.  We have many different opportunities to serve with us at any of our four locations:

  • Our Center, School and Medical Clinic could always use the help of a small group that is willing to come in and deep clean once a month (or more) and pray over each room they clean.
  • Create scripture rings for sexual abuse survivors: Task includes copying specific scriptures, laminating pages, cut scriptures out, hole punch & thread scriptures. Small group will be emailed digital copy of scriptures.
  • We need a small group to deep clean our Seabrook Center and plant new flowers with new mulch. Approximately 5-10 people would need about four hours; we ask that the small provide cleaning supplies, plants and mulch for the small beds.
  • A small group is needed to chalk paint a metal cabinet in the play room, remove the padded floors then clean the tile really well.  It should take approximately 4-6 people, 4-6 hours. Group will need to provide cleaning materials, dolly to move the metal cabinet, and paint supplies. AP will provide chalk paint.
  • Our Center always needs spiritual mentors or client advocates (a 2-4 hour weekly or bi-weekly commitment;  we will train, no experience needed.)
  • Anchor Point’s Media Team is always in need of an email editor, writer, graphic designer, videographer or social media commentator.

The Mercy Tree provides God’s word and a meal to the homeless people in the Clear Lake area. Individuals, families, or small groups can volunteer to provide lunch Monday – Saturday or dinner on Sunday at one of the 5 local churches that provide space for The Mercy Tree. Planning ahead is necessary because dates quickly fill up often months in advance. Open dates can be found on the website (www.themercytree.org) by clicking on the volunteer tab and scrolling through the calendar. When you click on the date, the time and location will appear. Email volunteer@themercytree.org to sign up for the open date. Our greatest need is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. At this time March 3, 13, and 24 are open.

Please cook or purchase a meal, and provide cold drinks for 20 individuals. Use disposable food containers and provide paper plates, napkins, and plastic ware.

Thank you for considering The Mercy Tree as a Go Local opportunity and for blessing our clients with a meal.

The 4B Disaster Response Network continues to rebuild homes two years after Hurricane Harvey. Will you join our efforts to reach out in the community?

First Saturday Serve is the first Saturday of each month.  We meet at the 4B Warehouse at 144 Park Avenue (the League City Public Works building), for prayer and instructions and then go out on assignment.  There is a job for everyone – no construction experience is necessary, just a willingness to help our community.  So that we can prepare the projects, we ask that you register before the last Thursday of the previous month.  To register go to www.4bresponse.org or for more information email Shari.
