We are continuing to serve our Good Neighbors at Rancho del Rey and Town Village mobile home parks through “Ministry by Mail.” Each week that would be a serve week during non-pandemic times, we are writing a note of encouragement, prayer, and scripture, along with ten dollars towards their grocery needs, and mailing to the families of the regular attenders of our Bible Study and Grocery Pick up. If you would like to participate in this effort by supporting a family (or more) from the neighborhood, please reach out and we will provide you with the name and address of a family to walk beside.

To minimize exposure to clients and the community, donations should be left outside the front door of our shelter, which is located at 3811 Allen Genoa, Pasadena TX 77504. We ask if it is after 5 pm M-F, on Saturday or Sunday please call us at 713-473-2801 when the donations are dropped off so we can have a staff member pick them up.

Opportunity 1: We need groups and individuals to sign up to have meals delivered to our foster families when they get a new foster child. Due to the social distancing, we are currently doing this solely through restaurant delivery orders. If you or your group would be willing to purchase a dinner order to support a foster family as they welcome a new child into their home.
CONTACT: Emilie Spencer
Opportunity 2: We need individuals or groups to come up with a fun family activity and provide supplies for the foster families who are stuck at home. Many of these foster children just got placed in their foster homes before the stay at home order so not only did their way of life change, but so did the people they are doing life with. Help us ease the transition for them by providing a way to bond and have fun together. Game night? Party in a box? Drive-around-town scavenger hunt?
